Why is that the only episode of that show I can clearly remember?
You would think I would have more vivid memories of Loni Anderson.

Les Nessman had imaginary office walls and an imaginary door he could close, too.
It was a great show, just not very realistic.

Obviously, not too closely, but I think situations on the TV show were taken from a real radio station.

That episode first aired over 40 years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday.

Laughed so hard I was in tears.

It gets my vote as the best line ever from a TV show.

If I remember right Les didn't actually know what the scheme Herb and Carlson came up with was. They just had him doing the onscene reporting.

Hugh Wilson, the creator and producer of WKRP, had worked on radio at WQXI in Atlanta. This is closely based on an actual promotion done at Broadview Plaza back in the day.

Didn't he say As God is my witness, I thought Turkey's could fly!. The horror, they sound like bags of wet cement hitting the ground!

Right.

Yep. Les was just the reporter. He had nothing to do with organizing or setting up the event.

Coincidentally, someone sent me this just the other day.

I liked those old shows, I remembered the turkey drop. Archie Bunker had a few good one liners also. If I posted them here I would be banned for sure. Stan
