We ate Sunday dinner and jumped in the truck yesterday, drove to Meridian MS. Got a hotel room. Delivering a cub to a local FFA club this morning. According to the club leaders the kids are excited! On a side note , first night with no kids for me and the wife in 6+ years......

I remember when our kids were young we would go for years and years and not be able to have a get away without kids, but when it happens it's very nice. Enjoy it! Funny thing, when we went on our first real vacation without kids it was our 25th anniversary in your great state last year.

We went for years not just being able to not be away without our kids. But never being away from home because we had to milk the cows morning and night. When you are deeply committed to the farm and family it just seems normal. Our family and friends thought we were crazy, to us it was normal. Others lived lives searching for meaning and fulfilment flying off on tropical vacations. Everyone has a different perspective.

I think that's cool delivering a tractor to the FFA.
I was in FFA in HS.
We had to bring our own tractors to school.
I brought my JD H in for a new coat of lipstick. Nothing like JD Green and new decals.
I lost my H when the barn burnt. I was a freshman in college at the time...
Miss the JH H. I don't collect tractors I can't use. Today the H wouldn't be very useful to me.

Enjoy all the get-a-ways you can!

My wife and I have finally got to do a vacation and some day trips, first time ever there wasn't someone tying us to home.

Still a lot of places I want to go, but her health is getting shaky, so is mine.

Glad to hear your helping the FFA. We are involved with it as a family. I was involved in it and 4-H when I was young.
