I have a ford 1100 and use it for 1/2 acer garden , and to pull a 4 by 8 trailer when doing yard work , how many on here have the small tractors and what do you use them for, I really like mine but some parts takes some time to find.

I jave an 8M Ford.Use around the yard
when the bigger tractors are too
big. Also use a 25 gal spot sprayer for
dotches, fence lined etc. Handy as a
short ppcket.

I have a little Kubota tractor that would fit in the back of a pickup. It has a front loader and it will do most things a larger tractor I have won't. The larger tractor is so heavy it uses most of it's power just to move.

Stephen, what is this heavy tractor with no power??

Have a Kubota b8200 with a 60 inch mid mount mower. I use
it mostly for cutting the grass and pull a small trailer around. I
actually just parked it. Had some dead branches that I had to
cut up and haul to the wood pile.

I use a 1966 Ford 2000 diesel to rototill my garden and bush hog with and a 1950 Farmall Super A to plow my garden and pull gristmill. In fact a friend and I ground about 100# of white shelled corn with gristmill and Super A yesterday afternoon.

Kubota B26260 that I use around the house with the loader frequently. Just moved the box with the big artificial Christmas tree from the shed to the front porch today. Handy to drop the bucket right in the bed of the pickup and shovel in the mulch, then go dump it around the yard. Pulled the 7' 3 pt blade out of the weeds with the bucket today and moved it to the yard to use with one of the big tractors. Bought it when we needed to back fill a huge hole when the well needed to be dug out and the casing repaired - and darn glad I did!

GT270 John deere garden tractor 48 inch
mower, 30 inch tiller 9 hp agri vac wagon.

2 t5d 20 hp terramites backhoes, great for
yard work, digging moving dirt, even lift
logs.

Kubota L3560, rm660 72 inch mower. Loader
and 7 ft snow blade. Also elevator to
8ft.loft using 4 ft titian forks.

I don't collect tractors, I use all my
tractors. Not show girls. All hard
working woman.

Won't buy anything I can't
Use for yard work pushing snow, clearing
brush, moving dirt, Digging dirt, loading
dump.

All handy tools.

I just bought a small Kubota BX series with a 48 mower deck and a 48 Roto tiller. so far I mow grass, blow leaves and till the garden with it. A Ford 1710 with 770 loader does the snow removal and fire wood chores along with any dirt and rock moving projects and compost pile turning. 2 ford 8n's handle the yard cleanup driveway raking and sap gathering as well as hay rides for grand kids. The better of the 2 8n's (Mr. Ed) occasionally goes to tractor shows and Engine meets on it's day off. I would say not many weeks go by without 1 or more of these tractors being put to work by myself or my wife.

I have a Power King 2418 that I use for a number of jobs. It's kind of a cross between a garden tractor and a little utility tractor. Mowing and spraying around the yard, tillage,
planting, and cultivating in the garden, pulling a leaf sweeper, blading snow, etc. I used to do some of these jobs with my Massey GC2300 sub-compact but these days that tractor basically
just does mowing. I find the old Power King to be really fun to use and it is surprisingly capable.

I have a 1952 Bobbette utility tractor to plow the garden. My 79' John Deere 214 does most of the yard work (mowing, leaf raking, compost and mulch hauling). My big
tractor is a WD with loader that I just bought with a stuck engine that I hope to have running by next summer.

I guess it depends on what you call small.

My Kubota B2650 is a 25 hp compact utility and is certainly small by the standards of real farmers, but it's my Big Hoss. Does everything around here. Tilling, bush-hogging, finish mowing, grading with a box blade, loader work, snow blowing and log splitting.

I have two smaller tractors, a Pasquali 986 which I use mostly for trailer tugging and occasionally ripping my garden with a home-build pan buster. I've also used it for pulling bushes and small stumps. It has a REALLY low first gear and true 4WD so it'll put quite a lot of power on the ground.

The other is a Franken-Tractor. John Deere 455 hydro running gear with a 14 hp Shibaura diesel replacing the blown Yanmar. Right now it's strictly a trailer tugger, but I noodling ideas to make use of the front PTO on it.

The small tractor I use most is a John Deere 4700. Some of the attachments/implements I have for it are in-line square baler, finish mower, bush hog, sickle mower, rakes, JD dozer, JD 460 loader, round bail fork,
25k stand-by generator, and even a heavy duty cable puller.

I have a Cub Cadet 7000 diesel 20 HP,3pt.LPTO use it in the garden and to pull trailers around, also is my ride around the farm vehicle.Easy on and off and very handy.

I have an extraordinary 52 8N with Sherman combo, 1,10* hours and a carryall on the lift that never comes off. It functions as my quad.

I also have two small Kubotas, 20 and 33 HP, for light work.

I've been selling off the Fords over the past 3 years or so. Aside from the 52, only the 64, 4000 SOS remains.

Stephen, What model of Kubota do you have? I'm looking for some pictures of a loader subframe for a B6000 or similar. I have the loader but need to build a subframe to mount it, and wanted to see what works before I build my own. Thank you for your time!

We have 2 8N's, and a Jubilee that get the small things done like planting and mowing the yard. Which the cub helps out with mowing too. The 2000 and 3000, do most of the bush
hogging and pulling trailers. The heavy stuff like feeding cows and disking, plowing, hay bailing is done with the JD 5300 and JD 5035. The MF 165 is needs some TLC so it pretty
much sits in the barn and just watches.
