What are the chances of 2 dead batteries same day?

Chances are good. A lawn mower with new battery was parked in early May. Battery was flat in its butt. I suspect voltage regulator had a small drain and over time battery went down. Good news battery took a charge. Posting this as a reminder to pull mower battery and charge it before it freezes. A frozen battery may not forgive you.

Second dead was 6 years old and it died it's sleep.

What are the chances you have 2 dead batteries same day?

Good thing every spring I buy 2 new batteries when they have a spring special. The one I used today was a new one sitting on the shelf. Saved me a trip to Rural King.

Not to self. Buy 2 batteries next spring.

The more batteries you have the greater the chance! The subject at the mid morning coffee break once was How many tires do you have to keep air in?

I have a couple of battery maintainers that are always plugged into something. I just rotate them around to all the batteries that don't get used often.

That usually works. No power in warehouse where these were stored. That's why I pulled batteries.

I have the air in tires rotated from summer to winter air.
cold winter air weighs more. better traction.
Got an on star alert, on tire is low 33, others at 34.

Just off the top of my head I would guess we have about 20-30 batteries in things and probably close to 200 tires to keep air in.

Last Sunday morning my powerstroke was extremely slow to crank so slow it would not fire off. Both bats were bad : ( it would have got both anyways.

I keep it on a maintainer all I got was 50 mo's out of them was this a failed experiment ?... It had Interstates 30mo free replacement I replaced with 42 mo free replacements' should I call them bad around 40 mo : )... I am sure I will forget about that around the 50 mo mark and here we go again... Time fly's don't it...

BTW the maintainer is hooked up there is still hope...

A good cold snap is good for battery sales just not my battery Wink Wink...

Edit Edit Edit...

I would have bet the starter had bit the dust it sure sounded like it was worn slap arse out sort of had that slow grind to it... I hooked my tow truck to it let it charge it a bit it lite off... Life is good I did not have to drag a load test to it are lay on the rocks in the cold and replace the starter...
