I know this is an old thread but I ran across it while working on a NH 451 that was given to me. I am in need of the drive plates that traditional farmer was talking about and wanted to see if he or anyone else may have an extra set laying around. I am needing the front as well as the rear plates as mine are both broken. The part # the best I can tell are 784858 and 784859

Dang! I just sold a parts mower 2 days ago. With those parts in great condition still on it. Call Joe's Machinery. In PA. They should have them

That's a good connection to have, their plates are nearly $100 less than NH prices
Rebearinged my 451 a few years ago but the drive plates were still good, I have replaced them several years ago during a full rebuild of the cutter bar
Mine only does trim work today as disc mowers now do the hay mowing
