I attached a spring to lever. Something must be worn and a spring pulls level enough to make it work.
Now when I removed ice, ice moves, triggers the lever and I get another load of ice.

Isn't it something how we get accustom to icemaker and can't live without it?

My refrigerator is older than I am. Works fine will freeze water if I set it right or wrong depending on how you look at it. I've never had nor wanted an ice maker with a refrigerator. The latch even still works on mine. Old Frigidaire or Westinghouse have to look to know.

I've never owned a refrigerator with an icemaker that worked like it was supposed to. I've tinkered with them, tried to fix them, and finally I just shut it off, turned off the water supply, and bought some ice cube trays.

Wish my wife hadn't wanted the refrigerator w/ice maker when we bought the house in late 2015. Now that she's gone, the @#$& thing never gets used. Used to jam up whenever she used it. I don't use it and so never jams now.
