I am looking for land I can lease for deer hunting for me and my wife.80-200 acres 6 hrs or less driving time from Lafayette La.tired of hunting clubs and the problems that come with them.this would be for next year.I would consider something in the $1500-2000 a year range.any info or possible contact information would be appreciated

Just a tip, lease from somebody that keeps a close eye on thier property. And not just hang up a no trespassing sign, lease it out, and what ever happens, happens.
In my area, farmers are big operators. And own lots of property that is all strung out. And for the most part only keep a close watch at the one place they live, or perhaps an additional place where they may have buildings and or equipment. If its descent hunting ground, and un-watched by land owner in my area, people are always sneaking in to hunt anything during all seasons, and or fish. And here, it sure aint going to be watched by game warden. We have a single game warden that covers 2 counties. In a nut shell, he only answers complaint calls by owners who do watch thier property. Squeaky wheel gets the grease so to speak.
Just saying. A hunt lease from a non-watching land owner, and only watched by you when hunting might not work out very well. It sure wouldn't in my neck of the woods.

I might could find something for next year but leases here are about $2500 a gun. Southwest of San Antonio. I mapped it to be 6 hours 20 minutes. Tony

2000 is about my limit and that would be for me and my wife who also hunts.I realize most properties in that area run into many hundreds to thousands of acres.I do appreciate it though.if you come across anything in my price range let me know my number is 337-three71-eight 440
