Jeans, Coveralls, Overalls

What is your preference? Just curious. I have been a jeans person, but just got a couple of pair of overalls and like them.

It depends on what I am doing.
If I am out in the shop or field, then Key bibs.
If I am working in the office, I normally wear carpenter jeans...Key, Dickies or Lee.
If we are out on the town...jeans...Warngler or Lee.

Enough said?

I only wear bibs. Liberty because I like the zipper pocket. Things don't fall out of them. I've got some Berne brand here from Farm and Home. They have the zipper pocket, but the cut isn't quite as good of a fit. I don't know what brand my coveralls are. Whatever TSC or F&H sells when I need a new pair I guess.

I actually prefer my old dress (khaki) pants from my real job. They are comfortable and cooler in the summer.

Jeans for now , I have to try them on , rural king are tight ,tractor supply fit better ,waist, but short inseam , got to try them on .
Bids are tight and hot ,so I dont wear ! I think they would be fine if I got the right cut and winter wear . They are all over the place in size .

Jeans underneath or shorts, depending on the time of year, and Liberty bibs over them when I walk out the backdoor to do the Farm work. Started wearing the bibs a few years ago instead of just coveralls like I use to
wear. That way I leave all my farm smells and mud and grease in the mud room in the basement when I come in the house and can look presentable when I need to go to town. I read on here from Randy a while back about Liberty overalls and really liked the idea of a front zipper pocket. I haven't lost my phone since I started wearing them.

Jeans for 3 seasons, quilted bibs for winter. As for jeans, wrangler cowboy cut is my preference. Cheap, comfortable, wears well.

Blue jeans/Levis. However, bibs over jeans when I working on 'grease' in the shop,or over jeans when it's really cold. I hate full coveralls, too restrictive in the shoulders/upper body.So bibs do the job.

I wear Dickies or Red Cap work pants for my job so when they get wore I wear them for farm or other work. I really do like wearing bib overalls, very comfortable and the pockets are handy. They can be too hot in summer though and my wife likes to kid me too much when I'm wearing them...coveralls are too restrictive for me.

Jeans when it's cold, shorts when it's hot. I did pick up a couple boiler suits a while back. They look nice & fit great, but I look more like a pot bellied stove than a boiler. That & they're restrictive, like a snowmobile suit. I do like to have freedom of movement when reaching in odd directions.

After working my behind off for decades, it has ceased growing back. Therefore trousers tend to flow down hill if there is much in the pockets. I switched to bibs several years ago and love them.

Just switched to bibs in January. Love them so much i havent worn anything else. But i was wearing Walmart jeans that have a stretch waist band. Those are great and wear like iron.

In summer shorts and cable guy shirt, slightly cooler Dickies/Red cap slacks with short sleeve shirt. In winter the same with coveralls, have some bibs but never liked them..

I switched to bib overalls a few years ago because I was cutting off the circulation to my legs by having my belt so tight to try to keep my jeans up LOL

thing most dont know is you cant always get same waist size as jeans when buying bib overalls. Those that wear pants under the belly or low slung need to take measurements of the biggest area around waist and use that measurement as waist size of bibs. If you are flat bellied that you are safe for same pants size. Carhart and Dickies tend to run a size or two small. Dickies also has a short waist. If your long waisted they will pinch where they shouldnt. This from a guy been wearing them for nearly 55 years. Are not flattering on me sometimes but wife says they are better than seeing anyones back crack hanging out.

Blue Dickies pants and shirt. Been wearing them for 0ver 40 yrs. At both my job and at home. Jeans are too stiff and hot. Learned that on the roof in the summer in high school, squatting with all that jean material wadded in the area I call the Knee Pitt behind my knee was too much to bear. I told my wife she doesnt have to bury me in a blue uniform but she better fold the best one I have and put it in with me so i can switch out when I get there.

Best clothes for me is a 100% cotton button shirt, Wrangler jeans, belt and Perry suspenders. I try bibs once in a while, love the pockets but not the fit. My Dad wore what I called jumpsuit coveralls all his life. Kept the thin ones for summer and bought new in the fall. Tried them once, not for me.

Wear key bibs most of the time. If not, Levi's 505. Abdominal surgery 5 times so the waist on the jean's agrevate the scar. 31 years of bibs.

Coveralls when Im deep in the grease and oil the kind made of the heavy cloth they really clean up nice the oil and grease doesnt stick to them like it does to denim

I wear denim shorts. Since I lost 45 lbs and have such a finely toned physique and have been getting so many compliments about how good I look and how much younger I look than I am, I don't want to cover it up with overalls or coveralls. :D

Bibs only if I'm not doing anything because the straps fall off my shoulders. Normally I wear jeans when its cool, TSC Blue Mountain mostly, and shorts when it warms up.

Bib Overalls! Been wearing them since I was about 12-13 (41 now.) I started wearing them because I wanted to be like grandpa. As I got older I appreciated the function of the pockets. Now I love them for comfort because jeans never stay up where they are suppose to and I hate a belt cutting into my mid section. So its overalls for me when I'm working. When I do go out its wranglers and Duluth Jeans.

Carpenter jeans. Unlined jeans in spring and fall, lined jeans during the winter months and shorts in the summer. Dont know how long wearing jeans will last now that the hips are shrinking and the waist is growing. I had to give up on bibs after a neck surgery made my shoulder area sensitive. For the longest time I couldnt even have an ink pen in my shirt pocket because of the added weight. Maybe as the years go by that sensitivity will go away so bibs can come back into my closet.

Jeans, whatever I can find thats cheap and fits 'cuz' they won't make it more than a year for me. I like the idea of coveralls when I work on stuff, but I've never managed to get into the habit. I tried a set of bibs years back. No belt, so there's no place to put any tools except the pockets and then you've either got something wearing a hole in a pocket or bouncing against your chest every step.

In cold weather I wear heavy wool pants over my longies. I have a set of insulated bibs but they are way too confining.

Blue jeans. Can't figure out how to get proper fit of bibs. Every time I bend over they floss my butt or else the crotch hangs down by my knees. Over the years have found only two sets that fit and those were purchased at yard sales for patch material and I wore them out. Help a bib newbie please.
