Anybody ever see a starter with this odd offset mounting

I am working on a factory Electric Start McCormick O-12, and naturally I don't have the starter.

A friend of mine sent me a picture of what the starter is supposed to look like.

Anybody ever see anything else that used this odd offset 3 bolt mounting nose cone? If I could some up with just a nose cone with the proper mounting it would simplify my life so much......

The continental motor in my Cockshutt 540 has an offset starter similar to your picture. I believe that the Allis Chalmers B may also have one. In any case, a starter shop once told me that an offset mount like that was designed to be used on two different motors having different sized flywheels. One pair of mounting holes for the motor with a large flywheel and the other pair of mounting holes for the smaller flywheel as the armature shaft is thus rotated closer to the flywheel.

I have an I 14, and a grader with this starter. These have a spacer between starter and motor.I had to build one for the I-14 grader, and used it as an adapter to a two bolt starter. I may have a rough drawing of the spacer. Frank at Rice Equipment did have one of these starters.
