641 won't go in gear

Started my ford yesterday I let it warm up some. Stepped on clutch pedal
to shift in gear. It wouldn't go in gear just ground the gears no mater
which gear I tried. My guess the clutch isn't disengaging the transmission.
Can someone tell me what mite be happening and how to fix it.
I tried jacking one wheel up and rocking it with it in gear also adjusted
clutch pedal rod to see if that would help. Any help would be appreciated
Again thanks so much.

Most likely the disk is stuck/rusted to the flywheel. Can easily happen if sitting in wet climates.Or could be a mechanical failure.Does the pedal feel any different than before?

I agree with Delta the clutch disk is likely rusted or stuck to the steel mating faces of the flywheel and/or clutch pressure plate. And this is more likely if your tractor has sat a while. One possible remedy to this is to move your tractor to an open area, you can do this by starting it in gear so make sure you have a clear path. And remember the only way to stop it is to shut off or kill the engine or yank the shifter out of gear. Get the tractor moving hopefully in a higher gear. You can do that by working the throttle and matching the speeds of the gears. Rev up in lower gear then pull shifter to neutral idle engine back and pull into the next gear. When you get it in the highest gear you feel comfortable with get the engine to full rpm, hold the clutch down then simultaneously throttle the engine back and step on both brakes hard to the point of skidding the tires. A couple times of this and hopefully it will come lose. To avoid this in the future if you are storing your tractor for some time block or tie the clutch pedal down to hold the clutch in the released position.

If it is only a few months since it was operating OK, the prospects are good that it can be fixed easily. If a year or more in a humid climate, maybe not. First step is to block the clutch pedal down. this allows it to have a chance. Next, put it in road gear and then rock the entire tractor forward and back with serious force on the top of a rear tire. If the reactor has a neutral start lock on the shifter you could bypass that and (heading out where there is lots of room to drive it safely) start it in gear and use the brakes to free the stuck clutch. Be safe. Jim
