Flasher Relay

I have a 1979 Ford F 1100 4WD and need a substitute fasher relay. I go onto the road at tims and feel very vulnerable without the flashers running. Any suggestions?

From looking at the on line parts book it looks like it may be a 2 prong flasher. Take the old one to a parts store and match one up. If you have LED warning lamps you will need a compatible flasher.

You could also try Messick's. Even though it might be limited stock, or NLA, from New Holland, they may have something that will interchange.

My neighbor had a problem with the flashers on his AC 5050. He bought a relay at the dealer and it didn't fix his problem. It was too hot the day I was there for him to want us to fix it. I mentioned that the problem could be as simple as a burned out bulb. He never called me to come back and fix it, so I think he found a bad bulb and fixed it himself. The blinkers weren't working on a truck that I was working on. I had the box off of it and so the rear lights were disconnected. Just a possibility, if your tractor had flashers that were working but are not working now.

If you need the truck right now you could swap the turn signal flasher with the 4 way flasher, they should be the same then take the old one to the parts store to match up.

Like Jim.ME said it should just be a common 2 prong flasher.

If you have any junker vehicles around most makers used the same flasher for many many years.

There is also a heavy duty one available that will plug into the same socket.

Neighbor brought me his flasher.
Nothing wrong with it
His problem was a weak battery.

Back in the 60 we had flashers at football games showing off.
Martha was caught flashing in the produce section.
I just told you all I know about flashers.
