mowing rough pasture land

Been mowing hillside pasture land with my IH884 and a 15' bat-wing mower. Unfortunately this has resulted in many tire puncture problems. Is there such a thing as a steel wheel that would bolt up on the 884, such as the old f-20 f-30 steel wheels?

Amish that are allowed to use tractors, make thier own wheels since they are still not allowed to use air filled.
They construct a steel wheel (probably using centers out of a factory wheel), and then they'll roll an actual tire over it so they can go on paved roads and bridges. They have a homemade stretcher thing they use to get the side walls over the wheel. The steel wheel they make will end up fitting fairly tight inside the tire. Tight enough the tire won't come off on its own.

Call places such as Wenger's in PA that are deep in Mennonite country. Jim's Fix it in Penn Yan, NY might be another possibility. The only thing that might concern me is depending on the design how well does the given wheel hold on a slope. May not be many wheels out there to readily mount to an 84 series tractor but changing the center out on a wheel should be fairly simple.

make your own just have a shop roll the steel in the circle then weld 2x2x1/4 angle for tread. then mount to your present centers

For your specialized application I would weld circumferential grousers on in addition to the regular cross bars.

Might look into getting the tires foamed.

They will be very heavy, and expensive, but so will making or buying steel. wheels
