Was at Sterling,Illinois today. 55 miles of backroads, one covered bridge, one state park, lunch at Fat Boys in Morrison and back to starting point. Started out with 14 tractors and lost one the first mile with electrical problems. Beautiful November day, great scenery, good lunch. 85 miles from home, made it in 1 hour and 45 minutes with no problems and got back home at 6.

I'm either dedicated or nuts, right now the Ford 6000 Commander has 5495 miles this year. Might take it for a spin Sunday afternoon, last year it ended with 4669 miles total. The Mackinaw Bridge crossing trip this summer was 1160 miles, we did it in eleven days.

Was the bridge over Rock Creek or Elkhorn River ?? We did some vacation in that area this past July from Galena to Starved Rock State Park and back to Galena. Freeport and Rockford on the way down and via Dixon and Sterling on the way back. Then southwest Wisconsin to La Crosse and home to MN. (sorry if I'm boring folks, but I'm a BIG fan of geography)

Not sure, I didn't see a sign on the bridge. It was south and maybe east of Morrison and before we got to the state park.

Most likely it is Rock Creek. Elkhorn River is close to Sterling. This is per the Illinois State highway map.
