I found this on the 'net and it jives with what I remember my Case IH dealer telling me. It's from a 1984 IH buyers guide.
Model 2200 fits a 454,464,474,574,484,& a 584 utility. It's considered regular duty rating.
Model 2250 is a medium duty loader for 40 to 80 hp tractors. Mills IH used to commonly put these on 574 and 674 tractors.
Model 2350 for tractors with at least 65 hp and has a 12 ft dump height.
Model 2450 is designed for the 86 series tractors and has a 16 ft dump height.
Model 2355 is for 3088,3288,3488,3688,5088,5288 2wd tractors and has a 12.3 ft dump height. Considered regular duty loader.
Model 2455 high strength loader for 3088,3288,3488,3688,5088,and 5288 2wd tractors with a 15.7 ft dump height.

All tractors and loaders are IH numbers.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. A second loader would make it a little easier, yet not necessarily a good economic decision. My haymaking could decrease rapidly if local farmland continues to disappear like it has for the last couple of years. I will continue to look some just in case a bargain comes along, and I ain't holding my breath. One will show up.

Used to it would be pretty common to see one come up for sale on an auction every year. I haven't seen anything lately. This size loader for around home has kinda become an orphan because it's either not big enough or not small enough for the landscaping folks. I know what you mean about loosing farm land. We've got an 80 acre farm of my uncles that a freeway bypass for Hwy 70 will devour most of it and his homeplace house / shop. Really good land to boot. Pure sickening to watch the surveyors this week. The old folks would turn over in their grave if they knew some of the foolishness going on. I remember granny and grandaddy telling me some of the stuff they had to do to keep the farm going back then and it required a lot of sweat and tears.

We are in Guilford County and are in the bullseye created by three large cities. We have two small farms that are NC Century Farms. Any landowner here is a target of developers. We are appreciative and value our history on this land. That is motivating, yet being surrounded by half million dollar homes reveals the future reality.
