Pictures from a time when farmers could make a decent living from their farms with out huge mortgages, investors backing or government support. And you could buy and pay for the farm, from money earned while farming the place. It is like a different world than the way we live today. And guess what, $25.00 would buy a weeks grocery then just as good as $250.00 will now.

Did Case make a 1 bottom 3pt plow? I bought a 530 and also got a 1 bottom plow with it that appears to be about the same age.

Yes they did. Both a 1 bottom one-way and a one bottom two-way. However these are older than the two bottom semi mount.

Yeah-my Dad and Mom raised us-6 kids- on less than 40 acres, that eventually got reduced to 33 acres due to road expansion. We had a small dairy store(milk, eggs, pop, bread, and sugar corn in the summer) that Mom ran, and Dad milked cows until he had to switch to beef, which he direct marketed to the customer. I remember once being at the grocery with Mom, and she complained that 4 bags of groceries cost $12.50. But we had what we needed, and lived well enough. Mark.
