Case Baler

Here is pictures of an old case hay baler in California. This was from a documentary of the project to move water to Los Angeles from water rights quietly bought form NE of the city by 200 or so miles. I thought it was a job to manually pitch hay to stuffer and then others manually tying the bales. Pics were from movie of TV screen using screen shot on computer so if not perfect that is the reason why.

That would be Owens Lake.I read about that In the book 'Caddilac Desert'.Disgusting how the large metro areas can steal water from small rural areas.Same thing happened in SouthParkColorado.They(LA/southern Cal) are working on our (Western Colorado) water now.....
