Problem with me is I still remember enough but my body wont let me do it like I used to(a lot slower mostly)

I got home and could not find my hunting knife. I had to walk a half mile back to the gut pile and there it was, Where I left it.Had I not found it, it would have a waste of an hour. I think old age has found me.

I think too as we all get older, we lose brain power. It's easier to be manipulated and scammed. We tend to run more on auto pilot, meaning daily routine.

I told the preacher that getting old is our premonition of hades, therefore we should do what we need to to do to avoid the place.

Seriously thats why I retired. I couldnt remember enough to make the job well done. Also was tired of being reminded about the missing details and I couldnt do another winter with the equipment they had.

More and more often I spend less time doing stuff than checking on myself subsequently if I actually did it or not.

an older church friend said a few weeks ago it takes longer to remember as their is so much to sort thru
oh he is 96 still drives to church every Sunday.

......and come at a time when you finally have all the tools you need to do what you need to do and now all that effort that you just had to do when younger and didn't have the equipment you needed to do the job no longer really matters...a real bummer to go with all the great health surprises just waiting for you. I turned 80 this year and trying to keep a positive attitude about what lies ahead.
