Did any off you see , A few acres farm video on his two bulls fighting,That reminds of a friends uncle bought new Chrysler car in the late 60's, they had mothers days diner one year, and after diner the kids got the idea to go out in the pasture and do some gopher hunting, well the Bull came over there were the car was, he seen himself in the shiny new car, back up and put his head down, and bunted the car door, the new Chrysler was the dominate bull that day, anyway, he only hit it once!

That was an interesting video. The next day the losing bull was standing by himself with a silver dollar sized raw spot on his forehead. The owner could walk right up to it and rub it's back. We never had a bull that tame back in our stock cow days, even the Herford got testy if it was touched.

Being born and raised in Texas with cattle all my life you never want to make a pet out of your bull , I talk to mine when Im around him and watch him the whole time they can hurt you really quickl.

James ..... I watched the US F1 Gran Prix race today from Texas on the telly...... 140,000 people there watching, what a race and it was HOT !!! Everyone looked like they were having a lot of fun, quite a spectacle. Not sure if the US race is at the same place every year or not.

Reading the title Bulls Fighting, I thought he was talking about 2 YT members with different opinions. I'm right, you're wrong. No. I'm right, you are full of bull. lol

One particularly snowy winter, I had a dozer in the pen pushing out snow. The bull decided he wanted a fight. Go right ahead buddy!

Maybe its just been my personal experience, but I've seen way more cows you didn't want to turn your back on, than bulls.
I've always heard dairy bulls can get meaner than heck, but not being a dairy guy, I've never been around them.
I try not to handle a bull when isolated by himself. Maybe that helps. I don't know. Whenever I load/move a bull, I'll always load him with a single cow. Then let the single cow back off the trailer after both are loaded.

A cow will hit you once a bull will work you over like a cheese grater and hes a lot stronger two bulls fighting are the worst

Back in the early '30s, the neighbor's dad was killed by a bull. He was also the oldest son and in the 8th grade when it happened. He did not finish the
school year but dropped out to take over the farm. He farmed the family farm until he passed at 85.

Pa told stories of turning the bull out with the cows. During those years it was common to run the sheep with the cows in a common pasture. The old sheep buck was up for the challenge and would wait for the bull to make his presence. The bull was all about the power of the push where as the buck was about hit and run. Pa said it usually lasted 3 or 4 rounds when the bull would secede and back away. Relishing his achievement the ram would run off to tend to his herd.

It's a bad idea making a pet of cows or bulls of any breed. Most people handle their herd with a feed sack and a few alow kids to touch animals which can be dangerous.

We never put the bull in the pasture with the cows. He was on a chain with a ring in his nose eating grass around the buildings. We had a short pole with a snap on the end Every day I had to snap the pole to his nose & unhook the chain & lead him to the water tank. If it was hot , it was done 3 times a day. Never had a problem.

Yes I saw that video. I often worry about the bulls in his videos. He treats them like pets and they are very docile but in my experience you should never consider any cow or bull like a pet. A cow with a calf can be pretty mean and protective and a bull can go from friendly to dangerous in an instant for no apparent reason. I have had a couple close calls and I'm sure many of us here have too.

I was a cattle rancher for fifty years or so being around bulls was never a problem I never added new bulls to another group of bulls unless they were with cows. The only thing with bulls is their size I never had a mean bull. But cow were a different thing I've been chased, hit, rolled and stomped and nearly left dead but only once per cow next pg testing they went to town. Always tried to avoid keeping a replacement from a bad cow. I've owned cows for 70 years, but leased them out six years ago.
