I have a 30-ton shop press I don't use much.

Today I was trying to remove the lower pin in the RH 3-point lift link from the "544" IH hydro that was pawned off on me recently.

Someone had beat on it previously and mushroomed it.

I cut off the swelled end with a cutoff wheel and wasted a LOT of time trying to convince what was left to come out.

I beat on it with a hammer and punch and finally bucked up a sledgehammer on the backside and rattled on it with an air hammer, all to no avail.

I finally took of the "arm" with the lift link attached and got it all located and supported in the press and "put the screws to it".

The pin then came loose with all sorts of creaking and groaning and snapping.

LOTS of work to remove the parts and set them up in the press, but the results were VERY satisfying!
