Kevin, great minds think alike.
I plowed up a spot yesterday and hope to get my collards planted today or tomorrow.
Will have to keep them watered for a while as we are getting a bit dry here.

Did you make progress on the 420?
Richard

Got a head gasket ordered and a fellow YTer is mailing me some valve train parts. He just lives a couple hours away in north Alabama, but we can get a break to run up there. Hopefully everything is here late this week or early next. Ready to get it running.

You gonna get spoiled really soon with the music that 420 puts out.
Especially if you put a plow behind it and put it to work.

Now,,there you go,,,rubbing in,,lol ,not much planting going on ,,no tractor,,,You got the last laugh on me,,,,!!! I m going to make green salsa with some of the green tomatoes,,may send some your way,,,do you want it mild or spicy,,let me know

Larry, you whipped us in the harvest department! That's really what counts. I like spicy, wife likes mild.....you pick! Lol

I'd much rather use a chisel plow in my clay ground open the sub soil up deep.I don't like to leave soil exposed to erosion all winter, give it a disking in the Fall, broadcast turnip and Crimson Clover mix for cover crop. Then next Spring disk, chisel plow then rototil.

hey, that's the wrong green
Go Oliver green, it's made for Men Who Grow! was their slogan many years ago,

now it's pay your way with green to buy the parts, foul deal...!

Here is a question - when plowing with the AC-G and mid mounted plow like you have the front tire is running in the old furrow, the rear tire would be running in the furrow you just plowed, correct ? So you would need the RF wheel to track an extra 10-12 inches out from rear wheel ? Looks like the G has taken over the Cubs job of plowing.

That's a nice little G. Those tractors always interested me; something about having the engine behind and being able to look down at what you're doing. Of course, the Cub is similar in that you can look down at what you're doing on it, too. In regards to moving the front axle, I have to move the RF axle on the Cub to use the under-mount disk plow. Honestly, I'd rather have a moldboard plow for the Cub and let the disk plow go down the road. Much neater job of plowing, and lots easier to hook up!
