Well all of the Gs will begin to disappear in the southeastern United States now. All kidding aside, thats a very nice tractor, have only seen two in my lifetime here in south Alabama, a friend has one of them that he inherited from his Dad. Looks like you found a keeper, I like it

I have to many tractor now and wish I could get rid of some but if a G came up that could buy and had the $$ to do so I would in a heart beat but you know why

Sounds like you need to haul a truck load of your scrap metal to town each trip.
Pay for your gas.

Someplace I read where two retired guys tried to clone the G in Cuba. Not sure how that worked out.
They are rare in my Hood..

I have a truck that runs but the cost to keep plates on it and insurance doesn't make it worth it. I also don't have a car that would pull the trailers I have

Truck garden guy north of Mitchell had a couple of them. He claimed the V of the steering wheel was supposed to be in the down position when the front wheels were straight. That enables you to get your legs out from under the steering wheel easily as you get off the tractor when you park it.

Also as I have said I don't scrap things. Most of these tractor do or did run not all that long ago just the market for old tractor is way down at this time

That deal finally went belly up.. I have 3 of the clones called Tuff-Built , They are still in bussiness here in the us but so high sales are nil. I plan on converting one of mine to Kubota diesel on of these days. you know how I need another project LOL.

The G Allis Chalmers uses the same engine as the Earthmaster and the Massey Harris Pony. Supposedly the transmission is derived from the B. They are different variations of the same block that are identified by the type number stamped on the engine I D tag on the left side of the block under the generator. There used to be several Gs around here that people gardened with in the 50's and the 60's

By the way did you know the V.A. believes Veterans like me make to much money to get things like travel pay etc. We where promised things but yet the V.A. doesn't deliver what we where promised and I for one has even been cussed out by V.A. employs

I guess you are not as hard up as you sound. You will sell when you are hungry or want to upgrade tractors.

Hanover County Virginia was loaded with AC G tractors, farmers, used them to grow vegetables. One farm I knew of had over 15 they used.I've owned about 25 over the years, the Hines H-1600 I now use in the garden was built to be a much improved version of the G,Has Hydrastatic drive, dual hydraulic lift front and back,a platform to get on and off and about 2X the power.

Used red.....let's just say I paid more for the G than I have ever sold a cub for. Bad business?? But can't put a price on taking something off the bucket list!!
