Tried to start my 8n

Hasnt run for awhile cleaned carb etc

Started right up and began shooting oil out the fill tube

Is the oil pump not working

Mousehole, welcome to YT. I am not a Ford guy but here is
something to check. Is the oil level way over full. It is a rare
occurrence on up draft carburetors but it can happen.
There is a possibility that the needle and seat in the carb
started leaking by as it was setting. Then it filled the carb
and intake with gas enough that it flowed past an open
intake valve into a cylinder and past the rings into the
crankcase. Over time when the gas tank was empty the
rest of the gas in the intake slowly dissipated out of a slow
leak at the connection of the air intake hose to the carb.

Oil is high and carb. Bowl was fulljust putting out a little oil now at low rpm
When revved up pouring out

Am going to change oil

Be sure the fuel shut off valve is working.

Take the bowl off, be sure it isn't still dripping with the valve turned off.

DO NOT RUN IT AGAIN till you change the oil. Be ready to get 5 plus gal of oil and gas mix when you drain it. I worked on a 9N years ago and it had over 5 gal of oil/gas mix in the oil pan due to the gas not being shut off when parked

Please clarify, you say oil is ..high.. is that meaning it is
overfull? I am not a Ford guy I think that is how some
dipsticks are marked. High and Low to equal Full and Add.

It is common for a Ford N series tractor to have the gas flow into the oil if the shut off at the sediment bowl is not turned off and then fill the oil pan with gas/oil mix and that can really mess up and engine big time

It does happen. I had my MF 231 fill the crank case with diesel, and had the mixture shooting out of my oil filler. Stan
