We call them rats with wings. They have as much value as a rat.

Edited, as I carelessly, at first, put tails instead of wings since rats with tails is what we call squirrels. Rats, squirrels, geese are all worth about the same - nothing.

I live and farm right beside a large wildlife refuge here on the river in Tennessee. For years we had thousands of Canada and snows but now we rarely ever see geese. Just too much feed up north for them to have to come this far south. Goose pits on this farm use to bring good money, not even worth messing with now days.

I used to live near Rochester, MN. The area around the city was a wildlife refuge, and even more eventful, they had a power generating plant right in the middle of the town. There was a small lake next to the power plant that they used to cool the generators. As a result of running the water through the generators, the lake never froze over even with Minnesota's cold winters. The geese used to flock into the city near and in the lake. We used to take our small children up there to feed the geese. They loved it, but you had to bring a spare pair of boots/shoes to put on before you got back into the car to go home.

Neighbor had a bin of wheat go bad. Spread it on his field to get rid of it. Geese came by the thousands. His Neighbors were out there shooting them. Game warden drove up and cited them all for hunting over bait.

no, that is the neighbours . he bought about a dozen quarters of land here then built that set up. i am the only one quarter farmer here keeping the family farm going. and the only one that farms with antique machinery too. my 660's and 806. no cabs either.

A good friend of mine who owns a meat locker and also guides professionally,
processes hundreds of them every spring and fall. He makes the best snavk sticks
you will ever eat from them, Well part of them He mixes in 50% pork boston butts.
