Scrapping a bunch of old 8N parts. Had a 3 shelf pallet rack of parts
and 6 partial parts tractors. Sold 2 of the parts tractors. Pallet rack
parts in dump trailer and pallet rack headed to neighbors new shop.
Parts tractors will disappear come spring. Kept a few parts for my 2
51 8Ns.

Bmack, I got to that place a year ago. It kinda hurt but heck, we don't live forever and we got to do what we did. :)

This will post sideways cause its an old photo. But couldnt sell local or shipping was prohibitive. Offered free parts Oh yeah Ill be there. Never show up. Im done!

I kept Farmall A hand lift cultivator parts for probably 30 years because I I just couldnt bear to scrap them. I listed them in the YT classified ads for free and a guy from Oklahoma came and picked them up. I live in Mississippi.
He helps to plant gardens for people and was so proud to get the parts.
He sent me pictures of the parts after he installed them and was using them to grow produce for other people and I was so glad I did not scrap them.

I hear you. I am considering clearing my yard this winter. Everything is picked to the bone. Have not been able to locate replacement tractors. Getting older wanting to slow down some. Also, the older I get, the less I want to fool with people all the time.

I am already sick !
I was closer I would buy it all especially those generators.
I rebuild them back to 12v. Replace them back on tractors to keep the factory look when I convert them to 12v.

Tracy, I agree about getting older. Can use the space and dont want to leave Jo with the task of disposal.

I have 2 - 51 8Ns and a J/D 5203. When I get to CO full time Ill finish the N projects just for fun. But out of the parts business.

I'm close to doing the same thing. Have a bunch of old Ford parts in the shop just collecting dust. No one seems to have any interest in them. Have few tractors that are going to go cheap in the next few months including a 6 cylinder Funk 8N.

Put a me to on clearing out old Ford parts. Not that much but plenty. I offered some to a friend and he will come in June 2021 to get what he wants, How far away is June anyhow? Going to call scrapper soon. joe

Hey, like what happens to me, -work on enough of them and you can start putting them together from the extra parts...

Must be an age thing since we are within a few hours of being the same age.
I am throwing stuff away that has been on the shelves forever.
But I am not throwing away any tractor parts.

Well, its just time for a change. Kept a few body parts, hydraulic pumps, carburetors, radiators and a reman engine block.

bmack95hd, i dont know how touchy of a subject this is, but i found an auctioneer on hibid.com that doesnt care, big or small, very reasonable commission, and he has helped me a lot, a couple of trailers of odd stuff i took to his place, about 30 minutes away, he takes all the pictures, i give a brief description, and its done. something like that may be an idea. There is always a buyer for everything out there.

Don't feel bad. They made hundreds of thousands of those tractors. There will always be more parts for these tractors out there than there is interest in keeping them running.

Most guys who would cry about how this is such a shame wouldn't come take the parts if you offered them for free. I'm too far away. I don't have any place to put them. Excuses, excuses.
