Alright gentlemen time to test my welding skills and layout abilities. Right hand fender on my 4430 is toast. Has anyone replaced one of these fenders? I have a bolt on 40 series fender ordered. Was told by the dealer that the 30 series fender is no longer produced. Ive read that that is the easiest route. Any tips on how to actually do this? I would appreciate any and all advice.

Several years ago I helped a neighbor replace the fenders on his 4240. He was concerned about the rusty bolts.[A prior owner had plowed snow with this tractor] A little heat on the bolts, and the rest was straight forward. So, the 30 series fenders are attached differently?

The 30 series fender is incorporated in the cab side as a single unit. The combined unit is no longer produced.

I've replaced 30 series fenders... but taking off the complete fender, and by cutting off the upper part and using a 40 series replacement. If I recall, I cut the equivalent of the 40 series fender off at the bend by the window with an 1/8 inch cutting wheel. Then I bolted the 40 series fender after drilling some holes.

Take your time; plan your attack. Have the new one on hand so you don't get carried away cutting.

I wish someone would reproduce the original 30 series fenders, or at least offer the vertical panels for 40 series that could be put on.
