Water in the oil pan

I have a 1755 Oliver with a 310 Wauksea diesel motor. After a rebuild I now get water in the oil pan. Pulled the oil pan and cannot see any places water is coming from. filled the radiator and placed 10# air pressure through a regulator and special cap for the night. Dry in the morning. Refilled crankcase and radiator, started and it ran fine. Let it run for 30 minutes, water in the crankcase again.

Did you check the sleeve height to deck when you put the sleeves in it? They have to be about the same within a couple thousandths to not leak along with the new o-rings in the block. Did you check for cavitation of the block at the o-ring bosses before installing sleeves if wet sleeves?

(quoted from post at 13:56:32 09/24/21) Is it a wet sleeve engine? If so a sleeve O
ring may be leaking.

Had nearly a gallon of water in the pan. couldn't find any water leaks around the sleeves with oil pan off and with 10# of air pressure applied to cooling system.

I gonna lean towards a cracked head or block. Maybe the crack expands when engine warms up? Seals ok when
cold? Mark.

I would check the casting plugs on top of the head under the valve cover. Poke them with a screw driver.

One bottle of Water Glass,it will fix it or not. If it works you saved a lot
of money and time

After searching the internet about Water Glass I was a little leary of trying to use it. Pulled the valve cover and and couldn't find any soft plugs. Pulled the head and checked the gasket and all looked good. Will try pulling oil pan, pistons, and sleeves when i get around to it. Thanks for the suggestions to date.

Found the problem. Two of the sleeve o-rings were torn. I didn't want to tear it down that far. Now I just have to spend another bunch of money for more o-rings and gaskets. Thanks for the replies
