Cat 215 starter question

I need to pull the starter ( last removed in 1988) in a low hour Cat 215 Excavator (3204) that has not run in a couple of years. I
took out the three bolts holding it in and it will not budge. Is there a bolt that I am missing or could it be rusted in place?

Everything I have shows 3 bolts. Perhaps first make certain there is not a support strap towards the other end of starter? Then tap with rubber mallet? Good luck.

Aluminum bellhousing and cast iron starter nose, some corrosion tap very genteelly. I have never seen any but 3 bolts.

Look for a ground cable or strap from the end of the motor end on it. They go to the block or frame. Also could be corroded in the hole. I would dibble a bit of diesel fuel in the joint and try a gentle pry to get it loose if no ground connection on it. Be ready for it to fall out on you if it is above. They weigh about 30-40 LBS.
