Update; 2-105 poor hydraulics

Have been working on my White 2-105 off and on for the last couple months. Bought this tractor a couple years ago at a consignment auction. The only other bidder on the tractor was the owner as I later found out. Tractor has always had low pressure. After buying a White service manual for the hydraulics and with lots of help from the YT community, I started testing. Based on flow from the case drain, we determined that the pump was worn. Took off the pump and dropped it off at a local Amish hydraulic shop that was well recommended. It was not cost effective for them to rebuild pump but they found a rebuilt pump for $1200. Put the pump back on and still had low pressure. Removed the pressure control valve and had to weld a nut on the stripped pipe plug for high pressure gauge. There were no shims on high pressure relief so added .060. Did the low pressure test and the leak off line test. Started up the tractor and the leak off line started blowing large volumes of oil over shop floor and ceiling. It also blew up my 0-300 gauge on the low pressure port. Took apart the pressure control valve and compared it to manual. Found the low pressure spool was in backwards. Reassembled correctly and added .030 more shims to high pressure relief. Works good now. Thanks to everone that gave advice, and shared their experience. Hope this helps someone else. My thought is that my pump was worn but not bad and someone tried looking at it without benefit of a manual. Steve

Wow is the best way to describe the road you've been down.... thank you for sharing this,
Father in law had a similar hyd issue with a new to him 105, and was into the similar parts
such as you three years ago. Thanks for sharing info. GG
