4520BW. I worked with a guy back in the oilfield days when I was doing rotation in the Gulf of Mexico that would rebuild Harley engines in his living room. Said it was too hot in the garage and it properly was. He used a lot of tarps to keep things fairly clean. Had quite a few of the devices in the living room found in a shop. Pretty interesting I thought. Thanks for the funny. A good one. Wingnut

455 Buick. block in kitchen, heads in dining room, etc. When I was single.

Used a factory cast iron Holley pattern Big Block Chevy manifold as a door stop in college.

Now wife stubbed her toes on both of them. Currently not allowed ot have car parts in the house, especially no carbs in kitchen and nothing allowed in oven.

56 years ago when I was visiting relatives in London, A 16 year old distant cousin had the engine of his little British Ford taken apart on a small table in their front room of the family's house.
I had a Model T block in the corner of our front room where we live now.
It had been cleaned before I brought it in.

Garden tractor pulling days and Louisville Farm Machinery pull coming up. It was down below zero for several days. Just joking, I told my wife maybe I should build my engine in the bath tub, it is too cold outside and no heat in the shop. She said why not! Next day when she came home from work and went to the bathroom to see what I was doing, the engine was mostly complete. That year my tractor ran the best it had in a few years. Never assembled a complete engine in the house after that, (yet).

Tractor parts sometimes find their way into our house too, Richard. Nothing real big though... 5 steps to get up. LOL

You have enough room in your house that I think you could put an entire Model T in a corner somewhere. :)

I have a Chevy 292 block sitting in the room I am in right now plus a few tractor parts

For the lack of a heated shop many repairs happened in the kitchen at my moms house. I got caught at my house boiling a coaster wagon tire in the canning kettle

I rebuilt a manual transmission in my Mom's kitchen over a winter, way back when.....Got it apart Thanksgiving weekend, had to wait on a part from Great Britain. Finally back on the road in April.....

THe first time my wife to be was in my house I had a Holley torn apart on the kitchen table. My cousin had a sliding door in his bedroom(bedroom addition to a house trailer.),his Sportster fit fine in the bedroom.

I would ask her to come help but then I would be accused of Just using her for slave labor god forbid she do anything besides play on Facebook and watch tv
