A Tree Frog laid eggs in some containers of rainwater we harvested this spring. The little tadpoles are finally starting to morph into frogs. Took a lot longer than I expected.

There are some concrete drainage ditches near the house.

They rarely have water in them year round, but this year I don't think they ever dried up completely.

Always an abundance of tadpoles but I never see any adults. Maybe this year some will make it.

I'm glad there is some life in them, otherwise the mosquitos would be even worse!

Mosquitos were a real problem, I guess tadpoles don't eat them.
I got some Mosquito bits from Tractor Supply, that stuff is great.
Looks like Grape Nuts cereal but is treated with bt. You put a little in every 10 days or so and it kills all the larva. The tadpoles didn't mind, they would nibble on the pieces that floated. Mosquitos went to practically zero.

We had one ride with us to town a couple of times. They like to hide behind the glass of the side mirrors, then come out a little while going down the road. By the time we get to town, they have usually had enough and either go back into hiding or maybe jump off altogether.

Tree frogs are cool. By the way bullfrogs
can take a few months to three years to
develop into adults depending on
conditions.

Time to metamorphosis ranges from a few
months in the southern part of the range
to 3 years in the north, where the colder
water slows development.[37] Maximum
lifespan in the wild is estimated to be 8
to 10 years, but one frog lived for
almost 16 years in captivity.[37]

Glad you enjoy them. They are a nuisance to me as they won't shut up, goes on and on and on......and get several talking to each other you can't hear yourself think.
