A Little Harvest

Been harvesting for two weeks off and on with plenty of holdups and problems but getting closer to done. Had to use the pull type combine as the self propelled IH has a major oil leak problem. So all the wheat had to be swathed ahead of the combine. Too busy to shoot much or edit video but my nephew did a bit today while I was picking up canola swath. Its a poor crop and takes a couple of hours to fill the grain tank. Too hot and dry all summer plus a hail storm in July.

(quoted from post at 05:13:36 09/20/21) Nice machine. I once thought I wanted a Deere 96 pull type but they take more shed room than a self propelled. Tom
Its true the pull types take a lot of room. Also need a lot of room to turn around to avoid stressing the pto joints. But rolling along in a straight line it has tremendous capacity and that posi torque drive on the cylinder just won't quit no matter how tough the straw.

Looks good. It'd take me some major getting used to to unload the grain tank and actually get it to land in the truck as far back as everything is compared to a self propelled unit. Liable to be some major scooping going on to clean up afterwards. Lol.

Yes, I rarely fill the truck as it hard to see whats going on back there, even by day time. Tractor seat is lower than a self propelled combine seat and that makes a big difference.

I bet it's kind of a toy behind that 7140 ?. We have a 7150, and would hate to see what it wouldn't pull. Been a powerful and dependable tractor.

You would be surprised. I stalled this 7130 dead on this combine in a patch of green oats. It went from 2100 rpm to 0 in the blink of an eye. First and only tme I ever plugged the cylinder on it. It definitely makes the engine work when the tank is near full and I'm pushing a heavy 21 foot swath through it. And front wheel assist is necessary on a hill or the rear wheels will slip quite a bit.
