Well attended and inter net bidding, I hated that because they kept waiting for the internet to keep up - tractor sales went extremely slow.

I went hoping to pick up the 766, but it went much higher than I wanted to go - especially when I bought a 706 earlier this year in equal condition for $4000.

Thanks for posting the results. Ive only been to 1 auction that had internet bidding I didnt care for it either. I want to see who Im bidding against.

(quoted from post at 03:50:52 09/19/21) I want to see who Im bidding against.

Curious... wondering why? Most auctions I've attended I have no idea who is bidding against me unless they are standing right next to me or making a big display about bidding.

Thanks for posting. i am surprised the 706 with the Cummins did not bring more. I lived in Emporia about 13 years, Jim was a very particular guy. I remember him having his 450 at the county fair there it was real nice. I do not know if he had the other tractors that sold back then, that was over 20 years ago.

Maybe my experience is different that most but I have found that Im
usually standing In close proximity to the person or people Im
bidding against. The type I have been to the auctioneer pulls the
truck up to the item to be sold with a couple of worker in the crowd.
So if your not standing there where they can see you your not
bidding.

I hated it because they tried to do it like Richie Bros but didn't have the equipment to go as fast as they do. On several tractors the bidding went to $100 increments
and took a minute to drag a bid off the internet - it would take 15-20 minutes to sell some of the tractors - and it was HOT with no breeze. When bidding goes to $100
increments at $8000 and the tractor sells for $14,000 that's a lot of standing around. At that point they lost 80% of the crowd. If you needed something after that it
was going cheap. I watched a pretty decent 100 balanced head mower sell for $175 later.

Thanks for the results....It looks like the tractors sold real good..I never saw a sale bill but couldn't have gone anyway as I was busy tractor pulling....I saw that 706 with the Cummins at a plow day east of Olpe several years ago and it was slick...He was plowing about 12 inches deep..

The few auctions I go to I never stand right up close I bid from afar in the crowd. I've already looked at it and know If I want it or not and the price I will go to. I also go to very few auctions due to prices and bidders get caught up in bidding and pay way to much.
