My dad had a F100. Inline 6.
This is what I'm talking about, having an old truck restored, 8 ft bed, upgrade engine and make it low enough I don't need a ladder to get things out of the bed.
I love the old classic look.
F100
(quoted from post at 11:43:37 09/18/21) Modern day new pick-ups are not being built to be farm use trucks. They are being built for the suburb socker dads. And socker dafs have to look cool at the socker game in thier new truck.
So new trucks now have to be 4X4, all jacked up, 4 door, complete with tailgate transformable into attached step ladder, and a camara to watch so your not backing up over socker kids.
And most of these features are just for being cool, and not designed for long lasting durable use. But hey, the socker dads are buying them, and they only need to haul the occasional single bag of groceries and or dog food in that pick-up bed. Oh, and the golf clubs never go back there, they have to go into the backseat and can't be outside in the rain and sun.
