My very first pickup in 1969...1950 F-1...made it up out of three trucks. Flathead V-8 with a "crashbox" 4 spd.

Wow, Brian that is exactly the same as my first pickup ( take the signal lights off). I bought mine in 1968 I think. I was going to a Guard meeting one day and
some of the other guys passed me and when I got there they asked me what I do you have in that truck ( I was doing about 70 when they passed me). Thanks

My first pickup was a 1946 Chevrolet 3/4 ton 4 speed.
Kelly green with black fenders and a ............
dark purple interior
All stock except the paint.
Mine was a 5 window, '47 Chebby with a worn out babbit bearing, hot water 6 and 3 on the tree. Bought it in 1958 for 75 bucks as
I recall from a fast talking used car salesman. First thing I did was to change the black oil......big mistake....had myself a mosquito
exterminating machine to compete with the WWII Jeep spray rigs that did our neighborhoods in S. Tx. in the day.

Yep...'56 Buick....I had a set with the bolt on spinners for my '51 Ford convertible back in 1960.
