And don't get down on one knee to pick something up without something to grab to pull yourself up.

Especially do not kneel down on a narrow scaffold plank without a plan on how you will get up without toppling off. That was yesterday's work plan.
 
And if you have to get down on the floor use your rubbery foam kneeling pad. Using the old saying, those pads are greatest thing since sliced bread.

Sounds like we have another thing in common, a bad back.
I had to sit down a few times yesterday, back was talking.
 
Also make sure your backup battery is in good shape in your electric recliner in case the power goes out. BTDT. It aint a pretty sight.
 
Wife's lift chair will raise only and not recline on battery
power.

She cannot sit upright for more than a few minutes so that meant
she had to lay on the bed during a power outage.

Plus the battery operates the motors so slow it sounds like it
would harm the motors real fast. Only supposed to lift one time on
new pair of batteries. Not a good feature.
 
Sounds like Im not the only one with worn out parts, sometimes I feel like an old heeler whose body has slowed down but his mind dont know it yet. My mind knows but keeps forgetting. Gets me into some painful situations lately. I keep forgetting to slow down when I am carrying things. Ended up with unplanned trips to the ground 4 times in one week a couple of weeks ago. I have some heelers that follow me and what came out of my mouth scared all of them lol.
 
Getting down on my knees is the worst, hard to get back up. Got some sciatica going on with back pain. Left leg numb today tomorrow might be the right. When things calm down Ill visit the back doctor again.

I recently have had to figure that out myself. I just had knee surgery and used to take getting around for granted. The old guys in the Lodge have told me for years not to get old cause its H E double hockey sticks. Im starting to understand that now...
