Le Roi used many engines, I don't know how many they made. They were licensed by AC to build a copy of the WD engine. This looks like one. An engine machinist once insisted that Le Roi built engines for AC. I have not seen anything over the years to corroborate that.

I think that engine is an IH from the C-113, C-123, C-135, and C153 family that powered tractors from the A up through the 504.

I have a LeRoi Dresser 125 compressor. It has an International C-153 engine in it.You will find that cast into the side of the engine.Runs a sandblaster perfectly.Pretty thirsty though, but when you are making money sandblasting the fuel cost is not a big deal.

Manifold sure looks like it. I had an IH 3444 TLB with a BC144? Does that sound right? I was thinking the governor housing on that was there on the left side, much like the H, M, etc.

The BC144 is a totally different engine family and would have had the governor on the left. What Im going off on this one is the raised triangular piece below the carb as well as the holes to mount the air cleaner (on tractor) to the right of the carb and the two holes that would normally mount the generator bracket and here mount the regulator bracket. As well as its general shape.
