Anyone know the model/age of this? Found it on property I recently purchased.
IHC logo on sides and what remains of McCormick-Deering on back.

It looks like a grain seeder in the rear with grass seeder in the front. I had one but not with steel wheels = my were wood wheels.

Pony drill? Used to drill a small grain between the corn rows. Might be a little too wide for a pony drill tho. My step mothers dad used to pull a small drill like hat behind his Deere R in north Dakota. The tractor pulled a 4 bottom plow that trailed a packer and pony drill behind it. One pass plow and seeding.

I think the model M McCormick by IHC had a very long life span and went through several small changes over the years, and a few big changes.

Pretty much what you have there.

My grandfather had one of those. I drilled with it once. It looks like small seed or grasses boxes in the front, grain seed boxes in the center and
fertilizer boxes on the back. Three different boxes in all. It was a McCormick.
