51 Jubilee starts and runs great. As soon as I start going up hill, it dies out. When back to level, starts up and runs great again. I can back up going up hill and it's fine but when moving forward and start up hill, it dies. I removed the carb (new) and checked float and needle valve. Any ideas?

#1 a Jubilee was only made in 1953.
#2 the Naa was made in 54.
If it is a 51 then it is an 8N.
That said check fuel flow when going up hill at the drain plug of the carb

Does this happen even with the tank full?

There is a stand pipe that doesn't allow the last couple inches to be used unless it is on reserve, and the reserve may be clogged if it hasn't been used in a while.

Fuel tank levels can be deceiving, often there is less in there than it appears.

Sorry, I meant to type 1953, and has the 50th anniversary emblem.
It has a new carb, and fuel bowl. I haven't filled the tank for fear I'll just have to drain it again.
It runs good going up hill in reverse.

Drive it up a hill till it dies. Lock the brakes and get off and pull the carb drain plug and see if you get a good steady flow of gas that will fill a pint jar in less then 3 minutes and 2 is even better. Good chance you simply don't have enough gas in it

The NAA/Jubilee fuel tank draws from the rear of the tank and is gravity fed. Old has given you a good place to start. If you dont
have good/any fuel flow, check the carb inlet elbow which should have a screen , the screen inside the top of your sediment bowl,
and inside the tank . I am betting unless you are really low on gas in the tank you have dirt/rust in the tank that flows back to
the fuel tap when going uphill and restricts your fuel. You may need to clean the tank or if it is real rusty inside replace it .
Another solution to this problem is making a higher standpipe inside the tank to get above the dirt/rust ,after you clean it as
best you can.

The inside of my tank Jubilee started flaking off. Looked like gray primer. I bought a
new tank form YT. Ended my fuel problem.
Drain carb into a white paper towel and see what you find.
Screen on elbow was choked with gray primer like crap.

gas level in carb bowl... set too low or too high would be my first check.... assuming your gas tank is not nearly empty. And your not going up hill more than 15 degrees steep.

How does tractor run under heavy load on flat ground?

Checked gas at bowl drain after stalling, looked like maybe not getting enough gas.
After checking everything else, I removed the carb (for the fourth time) and removed the float and replaced it with one from the old carb. It seems to be working. I had adjusted the float (1/4 inch from gasket) twice but for some reason, it looks like it was the float all along. Don't really understand why, but I'll take it.
Thanks everyone !
