Does this product work? I assume is softens O - rings and other rubber components making them expand and seal better. Bottle says it might have some fibers in it as well. Could there be any downside to the product like causing the seals and O - rings to eventually breakdown? Anyone have any experience with the product? Thanks.

I am a farmer and I have used seal-lube by New Tech avail online for 20 years and its works to soften seals in older equipment in the engines and trans hydraulics. My first experience was with a 20 year old tractor where the front engine seal was leaking. I put in about 1/4 the recomended rate ONE time 20 years ago and to this day the seal has not leaked saving many $ and time. I used it in tractors even with wet brakes and have had 0 problems. It will not repair a torn seal, just softens the old seals that have gone flat. I think this is the top of the line brand.

I had good luck with this, albeit not in a hydraulic use but in a crankcase

Actually, I lied, I forgot I used some in my plow hydraulics on my truck and it definitely halved the up-cylinder which had a weep that was getting worse. it just now is always has a little wet but its not dripping on the ground. but the fluid was in need of change and was also changed for fresh fluid, so that prob helped too
