Showing my pride

My older son got married Saturday. Just a picture of him, his bride, our younger son, daughter and son in law. Jon owns Apex Competition Engines. Marissa is a pharmacist. My son Keith, in the sun glasses, was best man. He's shift supervisor in a good sized machining operation. My Daughter Krista is an ordained minister and performed the ceremony. She's also a teachers assistant in a school for troubled youth. Her husband Wayne was on of the groomsmen. He's maintenance supervisor at Denso Corporation's radiator and heater core division. Wayne and Krista have two daughters. The older one has her PHD in neurology. The younger one has her masters in dietary sciences from MSU College of Ag and Natural Resources.

Anybody who's pessimistic about the future of this country and the world just doesn't live in the same world that I live in.

Very nice! It is satisfying to know your children can take care of themselves with good careers. I have a language arts coordinator for a large school, doctor of chiropractic and a registered nurse. I always told them my last check would be hot so they better find a good career (didn't really mean it but I won't tell them that part) .

Good looking group. Your wife and you did a good job raising them. You should be proud and nothing wrong with showing your pride. Although after meeting you I'm not surprised they turned out the way they did.

Sir, you and family are blessed.

Stand tall and proud.

I have told my daughter many times y'all are living a storybook life and the best part is you are getting to write every chapter

My Best to All.

So nice to see, Randy! Marti and my congratulations to all the participants. You have a lot to be proud of.

Great post about some great people. You have a right to be proud. Ours are doing well also.

Good job Randy,
It is a tremendous feeling when all members of the family are a contribution to society.
You and your wife have had to have been a great example. Tom

Great job! It makes you feel good to know your kids are doing so well. I am a firm believer that every one should set a good example to our kids and mentor the younger generation. It's the most important thing a person can do! Mark.

Like the others say you have reason to be proud. Now days there certainly are some great kids coming along , it just seems that the duds are worse and the good ones are better not much in the middle. Three girls are all professionals in their field as well as two grand children so not all bad here.

Congratulations. Well done. You have a right to be proud, and optimistic. You had one your part in insuring the future of our country.

Beautiful family sir. All hard workers including the parents. Thats you guys. The great American story. Wingnut

Congratulations to the newlyweds... and to you and your wife, on an added daughter in your family.

Great pic!

Very nice ! Good for you and your family ! There are always many opportunities for people who are hard workers !

Congrats to the newlyweds and to the parents who raised their children the right way.

Vito

I am currently reading through Proverbs. There are many verses about raising children and disciplining them. It looks like you and your wife may have shown your love for your children by disciplining them when needed.

Congratulations on a great family, job well done!! It looks like they chose well. When our daughters were dating, I always said that I wasn't worried about Tom, Dick or Harry, I was more worried about Moe, Larry and Curly. You and the Mrs have every right to be proud of them!!

Thanks everybody. All of their success is their own. I like to think they're successful in spite of me, not because of me.

Showcrop .... good reply to a great family ...... but I'm wondering if you didn't mean 'instilling discipline' in the kids rather than enforcing discipline. Big difference I'd say. Instilling discipline involves nurturing, setting expectations and boundaries, and fostering within your child a sense of personal responsibility.

Congratulations to the newlyweds and to you and your wife also. You should feel very proud and very blessed.

Crazy Horse I didn't use either, just "disciplining them when needed."

Well, the Apple doesn't fall far from the tree. You and your wife have obviously set a good example for them and now you can enjoy the fruits of your labour. Well done, sir!
