Rock Creek Relics show

Spent the weekend at my closest threshing show, about 15 miles from my house. Was about as perfect a weekend as you could ask for. This is a fairly small show, about a couple hours will see most of it. But it is always fun to go to. Saw a few YT'ers there, sadly I lost the paper with their names on it and my memory being what it is I can not remember all their names, so I'll leave the identification to each person. Sorry about that. But here is the pic, I'm in the blue.

My boss was nice enough to let me use the company truck to haul my stuff. My boys, grandkids, and I all agree, this is the superior way to haul stuff to shows.

Here is a pic of the tractors and machinery in the display area. Took this standing on my combine. This show has a lot of tractors and equipment, more than most larger shows.

This is the show's big Minneapolis Moline tractor pulling 10 bottoms. I don't know the size.

It's pretty heavy ground here and it walks right along with that plow.

Here they demonstrate a silo filler run by a jd B.

This is a husker/shredder. It picks the cons and puts them in the wagon and shreds the stalks for bedding.

Here is the saw mill that started the whole thing. All the buildings are built with lumber sawed on this mill. The drive is interesting as it's all homemade and uses two tractors to power the same shaft, one on a belt and the other from the pto. This year they had a very nice pair of 720 John Deere diesels running it.

My grandkids Jason and Aubrey getting ready for a ride through the parade with grampa. They really liked the show and were excited to see everything.

Did a little plowing too. Usually there are some big tractors here, but this year other than the big Moline I was the biggest there. There is many times a 5020 there and another 5020 with a 318 V-8 Detroit in it. They usually plow a bit as well, but not this year.

Was a great weekend and I really had a good Time. Can't wait til next year. I think each year I'll take different stuff. That should keep it interesting.

Greenmech with the green hat, behind him is Gordy MN, to the right is Dick Guyer. I forgot the lady's name in the front. Nice to meet you Jon. Ron MN

Thankyou for sharing the photos.
Looks like many different working exhibits, that is what I enjoy the most. Is that an L Case on steel with extensions? And to the far left of photo, is red tractor a Huber or Simpson or?

Is that a Landoll slide axle trailer? My work just bought one also and I do love that load angle, much nicer for certain jobs compared to out triple axle tilt deck, but each different trailer serves a different need

Well I did not make the official photo at the table. I guess that is what happens when you decide to skip the noon lunch rush and look at tractors instead. I did happen to make it in Jons first photo of the display area, I am the lanky guy on the right. ..do not tell anybody I was wearing a JD hat.. Really nice to meet some other YTers! The folks that put on the show sure do have a lot of antique equipment. I will attach some photos of some plows they had in the sheds parked against the wall and these sheds are 60 or 70 ft long maybe more. Another building had two rows of threshing machines end to end. Then they had several long areas boarder with boards around gravel beds with equipment on them. One area had all types of field cultivators or ..diggers.. as Minnesotans like to call them. I think it would be safe to say they alone have 4 - 500 tractors and field implements. Very nice show with very good demonstrations.

Looks like a great show with good weather. Our show in Geneseo, Ill. is this weekend. 15 or so acres of beans to combine, 25 or so acres of corn to pick, put in the crib and shell, plowing, threshing, sawmill, etc. Always a good show. Chris

Nice to have met you Jon and thanks for posting the pictures. I think the gals name was Melanie. The weather was perfect. Gordy in Mn

Jon, great photos, thanks for posting. I watched a new youtube video yesterday of the BIG Case 150 pulling a 44 bottom plow. Check it out....

Im about an hour east of Rock Creek, just off HWY 70. So I have been thru the Rock Creek area a few times. I smiled when I saw the first picture under your Rock Creek Relics title.
