Lots of future moonshine in that crib.
Richard in NW SC where mooshine kept a lot of families fed and clothed back in the day.
 
My guess is this is in the northern corn belt based on the crib being thinner for better air flow. The clean ears must have come from a New Idea picker.
 
I plead the 5th.
Seriously, I have never heard of anyone using bloody butcher for that.
But it has probably been done in the hills here.
I have a friend that grows it.
Will have to ask if he knows.
 
I don't think so--If the ears came from a New Idea picker two inches of the kernels from each end of the ear would still be on the ground in the field---Tee
