Purchased a new gov. from a good reputable co. The throttle rod will not fit the ball end on the gov., ball end is to big. Anyone have this problem before and what have you done ? I tried to contact the co. but no response back.

Had the ball too big on the throttle shaft, put old shaft back in.

Governor end probably a bit more complicated. You could swap the arm off of the old governor onto the new governor,
or
you could file down the ball to fit.
or
you could try a new throttle rod. It may be the new ends on the new throttle rod match the ball on the new governor. Then you probably need a new throttle shaft because the end will be two big for the ball on the old throttle shaft.

Good luck whatever you do.
