X2 on Blue Streak. Had on go bad after 20 plus years (before I owned the tractor). The online condenser I bought lasted 2 hours. So I bought a Blue Streak condenser. It has worked well for months so far.

Brillman has them but I have not tried them .
I been told that they are slightly smaller and do not clamp tight to ground .
We used two on the pulling tractors

There is a guy over in the Stovebolt forums who makes replacement condensers in his basement (I think). These were specifically for the Chevy six cylinders, but perhaps he has expanded. They do not look the same as original, but use a screw to hold them down instead of a clamp. They are some of the best quality on the market, from what I've heard. Over a year ago, I ordered one and it hasn't failed yet. Sorry I don't have a picture of it at this time. I remember he lives in Dallas and has the same zip code as what I had when I lived there a few decades ago. Price was reasonable, under $15, IIRC. You'll have to do a little Googling to find him.

I never throw anything away. You should know better. You throw something away and then
you will need it. LOL

Yes on NOS. Set up a search on ebay for the brand and PN you need. You will get an email every day for any new listings.

I'm also wondering if these will work with many other things, including a U MM.
As far as I know, around 22-29 uF is pretty close for lots of distributors.
Yes, Jon G from Texas.
He uses a modern capacitor with a wire attached.
I entertained the idea of using a capacitor in my old skid loader but I got a new Foley distributor instead.
He gives his email freely and I'll be in touch with him soon.

I like replacing condensers with capacitors.
Genuine Bosch condensers are made in Turkey and I've had trouble with them. They suck.
Do you guys know what the Farad rating is on MM tractors?

our quoted range is off by a factor of 100. 0.22 to 0.29 microFarad is , in my experience, where almost all ignition systems fall. Also, just FYI, a capacitor is just a more modern name for a condenser. They are electrically the same.

JMOR, I think you're right. I've been confused about Michael Faraday's ratings on the net before!
I think uF would be ultra Farad and mF would be micro Farad.
Some fellows elsewhere may have it backwards.
Just a different name? You nailed it!
I use both names to help not confuse some fellows.
Thank you for helping out!
I emailed Jon last night.
Two capacitors are on their way already.
$24.00
p.s. I have a capacitor for the U and a Bosch equipped model T coming!
