Labour day labouring

My cousin has a beef barn that he was getting power via a light drop cord run across the ground. I had a nice run of 10/3 ACWU (Tec) from a conveyor we no longer use so we made a swap for used roofing steel in exchange for some supplies and labour. He picked up some 10/3 NMWU a double pole 30 breaker and a 4 11/16 th junction box and my work gave me a small panel from a swap out job that needed a little tlc. This morning since were off for the day I put it all together since we ran/burried the cable this sumner earlier. The 3 plugs are now run off of 2 circuits. I used a piece of the 10/3 fed off the double pole 15 breaker in the center to split off and feed 1 1/2 plugs on one side and same on the other as I broke the tab on the center plug on the hot side. We have 2 spare 120V circuits ,were going to use one for lighting later this fall and the one with the broken tab will remain blank.
One of the lugs was rusted and seized in the panel but pneumatic tool oil and a bit of work freed it up. It had no bond lug and the neutral as bonded to the frame so I removed the bond strap and added a bond bar to tie in all the bonds. Works nicely and its all labeled.

Sure its good, free parts and labor, no rushing to get paid..:)
but i ask why was the tab broke out so one half of the duplex is dead?
I know i would probably be the first and most times the person to plug something in the dead half..:)

I ran a feed off one breaker to the left plug then daisy chained it to 1/2 the middle plug with the tab out then I ran a hot off the second breaker to the plug on the right then daisy chained it to the other half the center plug so each breaker feeds 1 and a half plugs. I cooked some deer steaks this afternoon delicious! Going to make some good eating at work the rest of the week! Did you guys get more rain there today? It poured here a good part of the day and more coming.

Union guys love working holidays, regular holiday pay plus double time! We never had any problems getting volunteers to work holidays.

aha, the old split plug arrangement, just described different, us old people don't think that quick...
Good you enjoyed bambi :) and some for work? didn't realize that much was in the package.
a rain day, light but steady, maybe a brush by from Larry late this week, driveway mow on wed so it should be good for that.
And on the Ritchie Bros auction site for Truro on the 28/29 i see a collection of tractors on the block, allis chambers/massey harris/ford/JD/massy ferqueson/ others all in the 1940 to 1955 range. There was last year a tractor collection on Kijiji from your island listed, selling as all or none, maybe this is them?

Oh maybe it is from here? I just had a taste test of Bambi and we made some casserole, Mrs is having hers with chicken and Im having mine with Bambi haha. Thatll be a nice sale!
