Ive got a 5 gallon fuel can of non-ethanol gas mixed up with a 50:1 oil mixture that Im not going to use any time soon in my Mariner outboard, reckon it would be ok to use in one of my old tractors?

Your tractor will get a little 'top end' lubrication and perhaps reduce the mosquito population in the area for a while.

Grayrider,It won't hurt a thing especially at 50-1,dump it in straight no need to mix it.It will help lube the valves and pistons.I doubt you even see any extra smoke in the exhaust. I've done it many times.

It would be best to use it just before you put it in storage, if you do that. I run a little mixed gas in all my seasonal engines when we are done using them for the season, then they start right up in the spring. And I've never had a fouled plug.

I put it in my 601 every fall when I winterize my boat. Little Stabil and good to go. Usually some left in the spring.

If fuel smells bad, I would use it to clean wheel bearings.
Mix it with used motor oil and use it to burn brush.
Smells good, Dilute it with good gas and burn it in tractor.

Will do a good job of upper cylinder lubricating...years ago a company named Wynns made a little 4 oz can of Friction Proofing that was a popular upper cylinder lube folks including my family, put it their gas back when Lead was in nearly all the gas.

Looks like its still alive and well: https://www.wynns.net.au/friction-proofing

Depending on how old your tractor is, it might be the thing it needs. When my dad first started farming with tractors back in the 1950s he had one that would run on just about anything liquid that would burn.

Ok, right off the bat, won't hurt a thing if you dumped the whole jug straight in and ran it.

About this whole "upper cylinder lubricant" deal... It makes no sense. These old machines have been run for thousands upon thousands of hours with straight gasoline, nothing in it to lubricate the upper cylinder, and they have held up just fine. Running a little 2-stroke mix through the engine is not going to have any lasting effect on the longevity of the engine. As soon as you go back to running straight gasoline, any benefit, real or imagined, of the "upper cylinder lubricant" is gone.

Fact of the matter is hundreds of millions of four-stroke engines run every day on straight gasoline with no ill effects.

Ultimately, just run the old fuel through the old tractor and don't give it another thought.
