Is this a 1958 Ford Tractor?

I just bought this tractor and was told it was a 1958 Ford tractor however, the owner wasn't sure if this information was correct. I would like to know what year and model series it is. Also, is this tractor a 2 wheel
drive or 4 wheel drive? I believe the starter is bad and I need to replace it so I wan't to make sure I buy the correct starter for this tractor. He has converted it from a 6 volt to a 12 volt. I'm attaching photos of the
tractor. I appreciate your help.

Year seems about right. Would have to dig deeper to confirm.

2wd

What make you think it's the starter? Troubleshoot before throwing parts at it.

I forgot to attach this is a photo of the front of the tractor. Maybe this can help identify the year and model.

801 series. Bellhousing stamp looks like 821, a very basic, stripped down model. All gas models used the same starter in that series, but you'll need a 12V starter, if its been converted. Available on this site.

Circled in green is your model number. It should say 851 or 861.
Circled in red is your serial number. 8710 would be 1957.
Whether 851 or 861, 1957 or 58, it would take the same starter.

"Bellhousing stamp looks like 821"

That's what it looked like to me too, but I think I see a five speed.
Wouldn't an 821 be a four speed?

Standard Equipment transmission for the 821 was the 5 speed, 4 speed was
optional.

19-105 is the loader model which is a 703-Series with single-acting lift cylinders.

I believe that's a Sherman backhoe, maybe a 54F or C8.

Now Steve if he can;t tell if it has four wheel drive or not do you really trust him to open up the starter..

The previous owner said they started a 12v conversion they installed a new alternator and that was pretty much it. So this is where I
started battery was dead got a new one,
tested the starter solenoid it was bad so
I picked up new one from tractor supply
that stated it was for 600-900 series but
I just found out it states its 6v.(thought
it was 12v might have to return it. Tested
the starter it seemed to work fine, key was
missing so replaced the ignition key. I
have a hand full of connections not sure
where they go.

The solenoid for a 600-900 will work on that tractor if wired correctly.
That solenoid would have three wires, two large battery cables
and a small wire from the push button that applies ground to it.
The large cables have to be hooked to the correct sides of the
solenoid for it work. The 6V one will work fine on 12V.

I tried to complete the 12v conversion but I needed to trace the wires and disconnect and separate the wiring harness to see what wire went where. I found a 12v conversion diagram but I'm still not sure what goes where. Any pictures and or color coded diagrams would help. Thanks. I would even appreciate it if someone sketched a diagram
