NYC had waterfalls going down the stairways to the subways as the streets flooded and overflowed---drainage systems just can't handle that intensity of rainfall

I measured 3.5 inches at my house. Very little flooding in my area, but the southwestern part got hit pretty hard.

Where are you located Dingo 3. I was in Adam's rib on Mayo Road in Edgewater when it hit. Some folks rushed outside to see, I thought it best to stay inside. It sure made a mess. Chip from Riva.

North East Pa. near the I-80/I-81 junction, I got 6.5 inches, talked to someone from White Haven, about 10 to 15 miles east got 15 inches!

I live in Dunkirk, Calvert county. My wife works about 5 miles from Edgewater. I saw that it damaged the High School on 214 and messed up some houses on the east side of Rt.2. One also touched down near Allens Fresh south of Laplata.

While getting some test done today I saw on TV that N.J. got hit and wondered if you needed a boat?? So you keeping your head above water and your feet dry

What bothers me about things such as this is what's done with all the submerged vehicles, especially in coastal areas where salt water is the culprit. Makes you very hesitant to buy a vehicle, new or used. I know of some of the things you can check to verify whether or not but still. One of the worries is delayed electrical problems.

One thing I know, I just got my 6 month insurance renewal invoice and it's $150 over the one I got 6 months ago and nothing about me or my equipment has changed; '09 and '11, full coverage, and we haven't had any catastrophic events in the area.

Texasmark, catastrophic events are now all over the world, and your area, for the insurance companies, is the whole country. Claims that the insurance companies are paying out are skyrocketing so everyone has to chip in.
