Ford 3000 frame same as 2600?

My Ford 3000 just died and I need a replacement with the same mid underbelly frame holes for mounting equipment to. There's a 2600 for sale a ways away but was wondering if someone knew if the frame was the same to save me a trip out to see it.

Basically same tractor. Engine size difference.

2600 and 3000 have the same 4.2/3.80 bore/stroke 158cid. gasoline engine. The 2600 has the same displacement diesel engine. The 3000 displacement on the diesel engine is 4.2/4.20 bore/stroke 175 cid. The outside of the block is the same. All mounting holes should be identical.

Thanks. Just looked the ad up again to go look at it and it's gone. The only other Fords I see in the area now are compacts, 1950s models, or a 7710. Oh well, I'll keep looking I guess. Thanks again!

Buy the 7710 and make up some adapter brackets. They are a great tractor.

I bet there's some Long/Farmtrak that are the same as well. They still build them on the old Ford tooling in India, really popular over there.
