I see some were asking about me so just a short update.

My family and I are safe. We are in a motel in central Mississippi.
Have had spotty cell service with my Louisiana phone so much info is sketchy.

I finally got to talk to a neighbor that stayed home threw the storm.
Many trees down on the roads.
Town I live in is a disaster area.
4 feet of water on the road that leads to my house so no way in or out.

My daughter left her car on my property and rode with us up here.
That was a mistake. The car is totaled per neighbor.
My house; per neighbor; has major damage.
The eastern eye wall of the storm (worst part of the storm) went directly over my house.

Pretty stressed out right now so I will end it here.
If you do not hear from me for next several days do not worry we are alive and well just dealing with personal problems.

May you find the strength to part with that which cannot be rebuilt, and the added fortitude to fix what you can. Jim

If your crime is so bad, Kim can push the poof button.

Glad you went on vacation to Mississippi. Smart move.

John. Thank you for the update that you and your awesome family are safe. Just hug one another and thank the Lord for that. Be strong at this troubling time. Wingnut

George I agree. John and I have seen more hurricanes than anyone on this site. We will not leave where we were born and raised no matter what hardship confronts us because just like everyone it is home

Thanks for the update and glad you made the right move and are safe. Watching the path and your having told us where you lived, I could see that it went right over your place.

Glad your safe. It's just a rough patch of road to go over. Keep your head up and things will work out. And remember material things can be replaced.

If the forecast would have been off in the other direction I would be in your shoes right now.sorry this happened to you.been dodging the bullet since Andrew hit us in 92, my turns coming Im afraid
